Champions
The purpose of the champions network is to bring together enthusiastic and engaged individuals in order to further accessibility in the output of the BBC. Within teams, champions reduce costs (by preventing rework) and help teams to show they have considered inclusion and access in their project.
The champions network provides a mechanism for moving accessibility knowledge outwards from the accessibility team and embedding it into the day-to-day work of all teams. Leading to better results, less cost and more flexibility.
Champions are anyone who routinely works on accessibility related things or has an interest in doing so. Anyone can be a champion regardless of role, experience or time commitment available.
For champions with management support and dedicated time we also offer the role of "Product Champion" which gives access to higher levels of support.
Become a Champion?
We are always looking for new champion to join the network. To become a champion contact Emma on public-email@bbc.co.uk
